The Flag of Freedom (Albanian: Flamuri i Liris) was raised in Deçiq on April 6, 1911 by the leader of the Malësia e Madhe Uprising, Ded Gjo Luli and his fighters. This uprising would also become the forerunner of the movement for National Independence.
